A traditional Italian beetroot with unusual  decorative white concentric rings when sliced. Has a mind flavour and is very tender. Beetroot belongs to the same family as chard and spinach, so  both the leaves and root of beetroot can be eaten.

When to Sow: Mar-Jul

HOW TO SOW BARBIETOLA BEETROOT :
Soak seeds for 30 mins prior to sowing  to aid germination. Direct sow thinly into shallow drills every few cm and just cover with soil. Once germinated plants can be thinned to 10cm and thinnings can be used in salads.  Thinnigs do not transplant well.
