A purple cape type which van be cut as a close head - like a cauliflower and used as florets. Or can also be alowed to stretchand cut as tips or short spears.  Delicious when cooked or raw.

HOW TO SOW PURPLE RAIN BROCOLLI :
Soil should be prepared in the autumn will well rotted organic matter & Lime if needed.
Sow in pots or moudules of moist well drained compost and cover with 2cm of soil . Ideal Temp 10-15°C. Grow on to around 10cm so that plants are robust enough to withstand pests & the weather before planting out 30cm appart with a top dressing of mulch.
Can also be direct sowed from April onwards in a prepared seed bed  and transplated to 40cm appart
