When to Sow: Feb - May

HOW TO SOW:
Prepare the planting site  couple of months before hand with plenty of organic matter.
Feb - March sow indoors  - In pots or moudules of moist well drained compost and cover with 2cm of soil . Ideal Temp 13°C. Transplant when large enough to handle and grow on until plants are robust enough to withstand pests. Harden off before planting out to final positions 30cm appart.
Apr - May sow direct - into a prepared seed bed 2cm deep. Thin to 60cm when after the last frost and they are large enough to handle.


Plant seedlings 1.5cm deeper than they were in the seed bed or pot.
