Commonly known as Honeywort, a captivating annual prized for its exquisite foliage and enchanting flowers. With its pendulous clusters of tubular blooms in shades of purple, blue, and sometimes yellow, complemented by silvery-green foliage, An  easy and early blooming bouquet filler.

 

When to Sow: Feb- Apr & Aug/Sep

HOW TO SOW:
Sow indoors - Sow into moist well drained compost and cover with a 5mm of soil. Ideal temp. 15-20°C. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into individual pots. Keep well watered until established.  Late summer sowings will bloom the following spring


Can also be sowed direct where they are to flower in April

  • Harvesting: Cut once flowers are fully formed. Dip stems  into  boiling water to seal the stems and prevent wilting.
  • Days to Maturity:  65-70days
