Oval juicy and crisp fruits with a mild cucumber like taste. Covered in soft spines, their skin is light green with dark green stripes or mottling. Commonly known as West Indian gherkin, bur gherkin, or maroon cucumber.
Sprawling with long, tendril-bearing stems spreading extensively along the ground or climbing with support.

HOW TO SOW CUCUMIS ANGURIA:
Sow indoors  - Individually in pots or moudules of moist well drained compost in their edge to prevent rotting, and cover with a 1cm of soil . Ideal Temp 21-29°C.
Protect leaves from scorching by direct sunlight. Grow on until around 10cm tall transplating as  necessary to larger pots before plating in their final position inside a greenhouse or conservatory. Grow against a support structure or canes and tie in as needed.
