An old traditional variety of Fennel which is best used for later summer sowings when bolting is not normally a problem. Tall stems and feathery foliage, this fennel is grown for its swollen bulb . With a mild aniseed flavour  and a texture similar to celery, both the bulb and leaves can be used.
