Different from our native species of Bluebell. With Large pale blue flowers  which form all the way round the stem. Good for cottage gardens and to underplant tress as they will tolerate a shady  dry spot in the garden. Care should be taken to prevent this species from hybridising with the less-vigorous British native Bluebell.

 

When to Sow: Jan - Dec

HOW TO SOW: 
May need cold startification - Best sowed in Autumn and left outside to allow nature to cold stratify. Alteratively seeds can be refridgerated for a few weeks prior to sowing.


Sow Direct - broadcast Into a prepared seed bed or in in shallow drills covering with 1cm of soil.
In pots - Sow into moist compost and cover with 1cm of soil.
