A cross between a Brussels sprout and British kale with small green and purple curly leaves, a little like a cabbage. Very tasty with a sweet and nutty flavour.

 

When to Sow: Mar-Apr

 

HOW TO SOW:
In trays or moudules of moist well drained compost and just cover with soil . Ideal Temp 15-20°C. Transplant into individual pots when large enough to handle and grow on until plants are robust enough to withstand pests and harden off before planting out to final positions 60cm appart.
Sow direct - into a prepared seed bed and just cover with soil. Thin to 60cm when large enough to handle.
Succession sow for a longer harvest period.
