HOW TO SOW:
Sow Indoors - a few seeds onto pots or cells of most compost and cover with 1cm of soil. Ideal temp 15-20°C. Transplant into final positions when large enough to withstand pests 15cm appart
Sow Direct - thinly into rows in a preapared seed bed 1cm deep. Thin to 15cm when large enough to handle, thinnings can aso be transplanted.
Can sow under galss in Autumn for overwintering. Succession sow for a long cropping period. Lettuce seed will go dormant in hot conditions so avoid sowing in the height of summer. Plant further appart for larger heads and closer for baby leaves.
