A hardy variety producing an abundant crop of delicious dark purple spears  in springtime which will turn green when cooked.

HOW TO SOW SPROUTING BROCCOLI:
Prepare the planting site  couple of months before hand with plenty of organic matter.
Sow indoors  - In pots or moudules of moist well drained compost and cover with 2cm of soil . Ideal Temp 15-18°C. Transplant when large enough to handle and grow on until plants are robust enough to withstand pests before planting out to final positions 60cm appart.


Sow direct from mid April- into a prepared seed bed 2cm deep. Thinning to 10cm for growing on before transplanting to final positions 60cm appart.

  • Use: EdibleHarvest:  Cut the central spear first to encourage side shoots.Pick regularly when the spears are well formed but before they open. Pick a little from each plant, do not strip a plant  in one go.
