Radish Black Spanish
A fabulous heirloom with  amost black skin and white flesh. They can be left in the ground to harvest over winter or pulled and stored in sand until requred.
 
When to Sow: Jun - Sep
 
HOW TO SOW BLACK SPANISH RADISH:
Sow Direct - Broadcast sow or sow in shallow drills, thinly 1cm deep. Water well.   Succession sow for a continuous harvest.

  • Germination Time: 1-2 Weeks
  • Harvest Time: Sep - Dec
 
  • Site: Full/ Part Sun
  • Soil Type: Will grow in most soils
  • Soil Acidity: All Types
  • Moisture: Well drained
  • Care: Keep moist. Do not transplant, should not need thinning. Cover with fleece to prevent flea beetle.
  • Use: Edible
  • Harvest: Pull as required when young and tender 4 wks after sowing

  • Feed:No special requirements
