With a flattened, round shape and vibrant purple skin on the upper part of the root, transitioning to white towards the base. The flesh is white and crisp, maturing fast with a sweet tender flavour.

 

When to Sow : March-June

 

HOW TO SOW MILAN TURNIPS:
Best sowed direct. Prepare the growing site ensuring the soil is loose and the top is raked to a fine tilth, adding lime if necessary. Seeds will need a min temp of 12°C  for the best germination
Mark a shallow drill 1cm deep and sow the seeds thinly into the bottom alog the row. Cover over with a little soil and water well. Thin to 10cm when large enough to handle
